The aim of our P.E.A.S initiative is to support parents/carers and families by providing them with the skills and knowledge to effectively support and develop their children's skills, attainment and wellbeing at home, as well as improve parental engagement with the school.

Each week, we hold a 'Family Friday' where parents/carers are invited into school to work alonsgide their children on a new skill, including literacy, numeracy and digital competence skills. The activities promote language development and communication through strong parent-child interaction, in a fun and engaging environment. To see examples of these activities in action, please check our PEAS Twitter feed by clicking here.
Our P.E.A.S programme has seen numerous successes already, including more parents becoming engaged in school life, parents and children working closer together, new skills being developed, a rise in attendance and a rise in standards. As a result of this success, we were invited to the regional consortia to share the success of our project with other schools. The poster below summarises some of our past achievements.

Another of our initiatives has been the creation of a 'Generation Games' After School Club, where children to attend with various family members and work/play collaboratively on a variety of projects, including creating family blogs, art projects, science experiments, etc. Children have learned some important family values, as well as key skills such as sharing and teamwork.
