During the February half term, Mrs Heckler and Mrs Rees-Jones embarked on a 'life changing experience' when they visited our partner school in Mockotlong, Lesotho.
Their journey took them on an adventure which allowed them to sample some of the beautiful sights of this country. They were treated like royalty as they visited the local primary school. The smiles on the children's faces when they presented them with gifts from Richmond Park School were priceless. As a school, every class created a game as a gift to take out there for their children to play with. The school was also presented with various books and supplies from Richmond Park, including scissors, glues, pens, etc. The children and staff were so grateful for everything they received, with one teacher even commenting that 'all my prayers have been answered'.
We will continue to study this fascinating country in school during our Geography lessons and will continue to forge close links with our link school. Mrs Heckler and Mrs Rees-Jones even took pen pal letters from the children at Richmond Park School for their children. We are now eagerly awaiting a reply to these letters and look forward to welcoming their teachers to Wales in the near future.
