Our final day of the Spring term finished on a slightly sad note as we had to bid farewell to Mrs Jones. The oldest boy and girl in the school presented Mrs Jones with flowers and a gift from all the staff. Every child in the school was so excited to see Mrs Jones and gave her a warm round of applause to thank her for her years of service.
But her impact on the school has been clearly felt on a wider basis than this as the tributes to her came flooding in on our school Facebook page. Here are a small sample of these comments:
'Mrs Jones is and was a fantastic teacher. She taught me many years ago and she also taught my daughter and in later years became a dear colleague.'
'One of the best teachers Richmond Park has had and lovely person.'
'Mrs Jones was the inspiration for my daughters. I can't thank her enough for bringing out the best in my girls.'
We would like to thank Mrs Jones for her many years of dedication and service. I'm sure that each of the staff would agree that Mrs Jones was not just a colleague, but she is also a very close friend! Everyone here wishes you all the very best success, happiness and health for your future and we look forward to meeting up with you very soon! The doors to Richmond Park will always be open to you! Pob lwc!
