Year 6 children waved goodbye to Richmond Park School this year with a fantastic 1960's inspired leaver assembly. After learning about the 60's in their history lessons, the children decided that they wanted to sing songs from that era, as well as celebrate the Queen's jubilee this year. Some of the songs were from famous artists such as The Beatles and Elvis Pressley, which the children also enjoyed dressing up as.
Not only were we saying goodbye to Year 6 children this year, but we also waved a sad farewell to Mrs Tonie Davies, as she embarks on her much deserved retirement. In respect to the many years of loyal and dedicated service to Richmond Park which Mrs Davies has given, the Year 6 children all got together to sing a special song to say thank you!
A special thank you must also be given to Mrs Davies Dosbarth Caradog. Mrs Davies has worked tirelessly to write the script and direct the children during the past term - with a few sleepless nights in between I'm sure!
We wish our Year 6 leavers the very best of luck for their futures and hope that each of their hopes and dreams come true. There will always be a special place for them at Richmond Park School and we look forward to hearing all about their successes in the years to come. Pob lwc pawb!!
