Trip to St Fagans National History Museum
On July 11th, pupils in Years 5 and 6 visited the National History Museum at St Fagans in Cardiff. It is one of Europe's leading open-air museums with over forty original re-erected historic buildings from all over Wales. The children had the opportunity to see how people in Wales lived and worked in the past.
They particularly enjoyed visiting the pre-fab building and the row of terraced cottages which contain original fixtures, fittings and artefacts from 1940 through to 1980. They enjoyed browsing in a re-erected shop and tasted a variety of sweets and treats from the past.
